Dr JP Lavoie is responsible for Coherent’s Applications Labs in North America and oversees the development of strategic laser applications addressing the market demand for laser solutions for challenging materials. JP held numerous roles since joining Coherent in 2010 and has over 20 years of experience in laser materials processing and photonics. JP has a degree in Physics Engineering and earned his Ph.D. in Physics from Laval University in Canada focused on lasers and spectroscopy. Though his work, he published several papers and presented many webinars and conference presentations on laser technology and materials processing.
